Hop Yard Annual Chili Cook Off
#NationalChiliDay The fourth Thursday in February honors one of America’s favorite winter dishes–chili.
Come shake off the cold winter weather, show off your chili chops and drink delicious beer at our first annual Chili Cook off at the hop yard.
Please let us know if you are interested in participating in the cook-off either by stopping by, on FB or by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. There is a $10 entry fee to secure your spot and all fees go toward the prize.
One grand prize winner will be selected by our esteemed panel of judges;
David Peraza - Owner and operator of 13 Tacos and Taps N Raleigh and the 13th Taco Food Truck.
Christian Stoner - Award winning former executive chef and Co. owner / Operator of the Hop Yard NC.
Mark Hansen - Head Butcher and Owner at Southern Craft Butchers.
You will need the following;
Your best chili in a slow cooker, hot and ready to serve. We Encourage a variety - meatless, spicy, white, or surprise ingredients
Chili Name Tag with the name of your chili and a rating for heat level
6:00 PM: Arrival and set-up
7:00 PM: Official tasting begins
7:30 PM: Public tasting begins
8:30 PM: Winners are announced!
